Worldbuilding Template 1
Story-pressure map: Character goal [x] | world condition [x] | constraint/opportunity [x] | cost [x] | scene consequence [x].
Start with structure, then replace every placeholder with information that is true, relevant, and natural for your context. These templates are intentionally skeletal so your final writing does not sound mass-produced.
Strong worldbuilding creates consistent pressures and consequences that appear in routine, conflict, institutions, language, objects and character assumptions. It develops only the systems the story needs, traces secondary effects, allows internal variation, and avoids encyclopedia detail that never changes a choice, obstacle or relationship.
