Fantasy Worldbuilding Template 1
Magic rule: Power [x] | access [x] | cost [x] | limit [x] | exception [x] | social consequence [x].
Start with structure, then replace every placeholder with information that is true, relevant, and natural for your context. These templates are intentionally skeletal so your final writing does not sound mass-produced.
Strong fantasy worldbuilding makes wonder consequential rather than decorative. Magic or supernatural rules have boundaries and social effects; cultures contain internal variation; myths may be contested rather than automatically factual; and invented history, creatures or cosmology matter because they change choices, risks, institutions or relationships.
