Strong Internal Conflict gives both sides genuine weight, attaches the dilemma to concrete behavior and consequences, and changes as experience, evidence and outside pressure accumulate. The reader can see the struggle in choices, avoidance, contradiction, sacrifice and revised priorities rather than hearing the same thought repeated.
